UPSWEEP

This project takes the form of a spatial and sound installation that raises questions about scale and life, about the boundaries between nature and artifice. In this proposal, life forms grow and stand out from a smooth and dark flatness. This lake symbolizes the black mirror, the key moment from which technology escapes us.
These hybrid and wild life forms populate this lake, feeding on the setbacks of a technological dogma. They question the shadow of opulence, an unpredictable reflection of a frenetic race for innovation. The public is invited to turn around the installation to contemplate its reflection that blends with this new landscape.  The soundtrack of the project is composed from recordings made with a magnetic field microphone that captures the frequencies emitted by electronic devices.
